An Open Letter

Today I learned that my best friend of almost a decades, favorite color is olive. And I thought about how interesting it is, how he is my best friend, has been with me for longer than anyone else, and I feel most comfortable with. And yet I know so little about him, and he knows so little about me, it is one of those stereotypical male friendships I guess. But at the same time, it is so incredibly intimate.
